Nicodemus’s Story
I met Nicodemus on my last trip to Nigeria in 2006. This was a 16 year old boy with a growth on his jaw. He came to me with x-rays to show me that as this growth on his jaw was growing it was going to close off his esophagus. He had 3 to 6 months to live unless a surgery would be preformed. My heart went out to him and I found a way to get him the care he needed. A generous family took care of the cost for the two surgeries to restore Nicodemus' jaw. A rib was taken from his own body to restructure his jaw and he is now a healthy and handsome young man.
