“I AM” World Outreach, Inc. is a small non-profit organization started by Roy Wanta in 2004, built on the simple philosophy of “one person can make a difference”. It is run by a small group of dedicated people who were so moved by the stories of children fighting to survive in Nigeria, they decided to take it upon themselves to help these children and bring the gospel to those who remain spiritually depleted. Donations to Project Africa goes toward shelter for orphaned children; education to over 300 children; medical care to those suffering from malnutrition, HIV/AIDS and other diseases; well drilling for fresh water; education and training to help people provide for themselves and their families. There is no corporate agenda, only compassion and desire to help the people we have met while visiting Nigeria, people we now call friends.
“I AM” World Outreach, Inc. was started to assist Jubilee Christian Centre (www.jubileechristiancentre.org) with building the Girls' Safe Home. “I AM” World Outreach, Inc. is the main support of Jubilee Christian Centre in the US, helping with the cost of the orphanage and any other needs they may have.
Our top priority with Project Africa is to build the Girls’ Safe Home, a safe place for girls as young as 9 years old who have been or would otherwise be forced into prostitution to survive. The Girls’ Safe Home will keep these girls off the streets and teach them skills to survive, while preventing the continued cycle of HIV/AIDS and unwanted pregnancies resulting in additional orphans. In addition to the Girls’ Safe home, there are also more wells that need to be drilled to provide clean drinking water, and Manna Children’s Home, our orphanage in Nigeria, has reached its capacity. The orphanage needs to be expanded so orphaned babies no longer need to be turned away because there is “no more room”. These are some of the basic survival items that Project Africa, through “I AM” World Outreach, Inc., are providing to children and families in Nigeria.
In Africa, it is estimated that over 65 million orphans are left behind due to HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, malaria, and diabetes. We realize that we will not be able to help them all, but through Project Africa, we'd like to help as many as we can. It is with your help, donations and prayers that we will do just that.
Please know that every donation you give Project Africa will be helping real people, children, young adults and families that we’ve met while visiting Nigeria. “And the King will reply to them, ‘Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least of these My brethren, you did it for Me.’.” (Matthew 25:40)
“I Am” World Outreach thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely,
Roy Wanta
